ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT
ACT is a team-based treatment model that provides multidisciplinary, flexible treatment and support to people with mental illness 24/7. The driving principle of ACT is that people receive better care when their mental health care providers work together.
DAY TREATMENT
Day Treatment is a form of outpatient mental health care. Groups meet that help clients learn to cope with stressors and manage their mental health. (This service is not currently available.)
DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT
Dual diagnosis services are treatments for people who suffer from co-occurring disorders — mental illness and substance abuse—with the goal of helping people to recover from both. The Nord Center has expertise working with clients with co-occurring disorders. Services vary depending on client needs but may include individual and group treatment.
INDIVIDUAL ADULT COUNSELING
After an assessment, clients meet with a trained professional who will team up with them to support them in to accomplishing their mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.
FIRST EPISODE PSYCHOSIS PROGRAM
Studies indicate that, like cancer, schizophrenia develops in stages. Providing care at the earliest possible stage produces the best results. By intervening early, The FIRST program helps people experiencing their first psychotic episode to maintain their momentum towards educational and other life goals.
HOARDING DISORDER TREATMENT
Participants do not have to be receiving any other services at The Nord Center to be eligible for treatment in this program. Treatment is provided by a therapist utilizing an evidence-based treatment model. To refer to this program, please contact Kathryn Maimone at 440-204-4213 to discuss potential referrals.
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS
The Nord Center offers a range of residential options from permanent supportive housing to group homes. The focus is on helping each person to achieve the greatest possible level of personal wellbeing and independence.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
